For many, “lobbyist” is a dirty word, longtime Roundhouse lobbyist Bill Jordan acknowledges.
But he makes no apologies for his 26 years with nonprofit New Mexico Voices for Children, advocating for issues facing young people. Jordan said it was his mission to stand up for those who have been left behind.
“There are those lobbyists that you wonder how they sleep at night,” Jordan told The New Mexican. “And so I just feel very, very happy and pleased that I was able to work for an organization where I never had to compromise my values.
“It gave me the opportunity to be my best self,” he said.
