Public News Service--A report by New Mexico Voices for Children shows 15 of the state's 33 counties don't have a single pediatrician, one of several facts included in the Children's Roadmap, which focused on three main areas, including education, health and economic security. It was released by the group earlier this year and is being discussed at statewide outreach meetings.

KUNM--New Mexico has made some major investments aimed at improving the lives of kids around the state. Just this year the legislature passed and the governor signed into law free universal childcare, which came a year after creating a trust fund specifically dedicated to early childhood. But a new report from New Mexico Voices for Children takes a deeper look at whether or not any of those are actually making a difference on a day-to-day level.
