Building on successful community conversations in Central New Mexico, NM Voices for Children looks ahead to more stops across New Mexico
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – SEPT. 8, 2026 – Following highly successful community conversations at Children’s Roadshow events in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and online, New Mexico Voices for Children (NM Voices) is building on that momentum this fall by bringing the conversation to communities across the state. In June, NM Voices, with support from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation published the New Mexico Children’s Roadmap, a report taking a comprehensive look at the state of child well-being in New Mexico in the areas of early childhood education, childcare and healthcare, while also offering policy recommendations for the next administration to strengthen and sustain support for children and families. Since its release, NM Voices has engaged hundreds of advocates, lawmakers, service providers and community leaders in conversations about the future of child well-being across the state. The Children’s Roadshow builds on those efforts, creating opportunities to bring the findings and recommendations directly into communities, while hearing from people who know their communities best.
