Biography

Throughout my life I have tried to be very active in service work because I love helping people. When I was ten years old, my brother, my sister, my three cousins, and I co-founded a non-profit organization that we named 2G Foundation. We invested money and every year we would give some away to a charity of our choosing. Three years ago we stated doing hands on work. We started out doing a week of different projects including giving lunch to the homesless, painting rooms at a homeless prenatal place, covering children's books, and visiting senior citizen's homes in San Francisco, California. The next year we went to Sedona, Arizona, and sorted and distributed food at a food bank and stained decks at an abused women's shelter. Then this past year we went to Costa Rica for a week where we worked with indigenous people. We painted houses and dug a ditch around the village's soccer field to help keep the water off of it. I have also been very active in my own community through various organizations through many concessions stands. For several years I helped put on a dinner for local veterans in our community on Veteran's Day, and made and delivered cookie plates to senior citizens on Valentine's Day. I have also helped around my school by building shelves for the library, cleaning up the grounds, cleaning the flower beds, planting trees, and building ramps. I have helped clean the county fair grounds, and picked up trash along the highway. I have also donated blood. I plan to continue helping out whenever I can.
