Through volunteer work in my community, I know there is always time to make a real difference.

Biography

My name is Martinika Maestas and I am a senior and Valedictorian at West Las Vegas High School. Throughout High School I have maintained a 4.25 grade point average and have excelled in athletics and academics. I have taken advantage of the opportunity in accelerating in academics by taking advance placement courses as well as college credit courses. By doing this, I have worked to be an over achiever and have successfully completed all my core credit classes. l am involved in many school clubs and extra curricular activities as well as volunteer work in my community. l am a member of the Lady Dons girls basketball team, softball team, volleyball team, and track team. The clubs that I participate in are MESA, Student Council, Senior Class, Prom Committee, and I am very involved with my church. By being very involved with my school and community I have received many awards and recognition for my hard work and dedication to my school and community. Overall, l am a very goal oriented young lady that has her mind set on nothing less than success. In fullfilling my goal I would love to be a young successful leader that will have the opportunity to change the world.
